Dear Reader:
Welcome to my website. I'm delighted to announce that my new book, You're Grounded Forever... But First Let's Go Shopping: The Challenges Mothers Face with Their Daughters and Ten Timely Solutions, is due out on September 28th. As a mother to two daughters (and one son), it was a journey to write this book. I interviewed mothers of all age daughters - from 3 to 35 - to learn about the issues they face and to offer solutions. I plan to keep you updated on what's lined up in terms of book promotion including speaking engagements, blogs, magazine articles and t.v. appearances.

Meanwhile, my book that came out last fall, Toxic Friends, was in the news this summer when Lindsay Lohan was spotted carrying a copy. Check out the picture below! Both books, Toxic Friends and You're Grounded Forever..., are intriguing projects that underscore my ongoing fascination with how women everywhere, at every stage, lead their lives. And in speaking with mothers about raising daughters, most women said that without a doubt, it's a dicier proposition than raising sons!
If you are a member of a book club, you may want to check out the discussion guide. I'd be happy to come speak at your club or do a 'phone-in', just fill out the sign-up form. And you'll also find information about my eleven previous books – so please feel free to email me with your thoughts on any of these topics. Right now, I'd love to hear about your trials and joys with your daughters. Please send a 'story' (I don't need your name-- but do include your daughter's age) and I'll post it on my blog so that mothers can share their experiences.
